“American Idol” contestant set to perform at NY Fashion Week Showcase
(New York,NY February 3, 2019) – Lan of Fashion is thrilled to announce the addition of Kayla Barone, singer/songwriter from Lagrangeville, NY, to the lineup of performers for the Lan of Fashion Runway Showcase™ New York Fashion Week F/W ’19 which will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Project Farmhouse, 76 E. 13th St., New York, NY 10003.
Kayla Barone, best known as Kayla Rae, finds her musical influences from artists Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey and Lady Gaga. She dubs herself as a soulful, jazzy-pop vocalist who sticks to the dark and mysterious side in her music despite the upbeat pop vibe. The musician had over 60 performances across the Tri-State area in just the past year, performing for some of the biggest festivals in the New York and New Jersey area. When Barone was younger, she appeared on season 12 of NBC’s hit show “The Voice”. Barone is currently a contestant on the hit show, “American Idol,” which will be aired in March.
Barone spends her free time working on her craft – writing new material, recording, performing, competing, collaborating with other artists, and posting videos for her online followers. In 2018, Barone began recording her self-written E.P. album, which was then produced by Elvio Fernandes, member of the popular band, “Daughtry” and his partner Johnny Cummings. The album is now in the process of being mixed, mastered and finalized by the industry professionals that work with some of the biggest names in the musical industry. It is set to be released within the next few months.
In the coming months, Barone has a calendar full of performances lined up and an album set to be released with collaborations with major artists. It is the combination of Barone’s eloquently beautiful yet eerie sound that has been making her stand out from other artists. Her musical style is so new to the industry, and along with her starquality stage presence, quirky lyrics, and free-spirited personality – she is a performer that will captivate many.
